Junior Bounous

Junior Bounous, born in 1925,  has been called the quintessential teacher, possessing the skill, instinct, and personality to help people find joy and excitement in skiing. With a mild disposition that belied his competitive spirit, he started his professional skiing career in 1947.

For the next half-century, the author and instructor introduced numerous innovations that enhanced his profession to the betterment of the sport. A Provo, Utah native, he was inducted into the National Ski Hall of Fame in 1996.
