Alf Engen’s “King of the Hill” Trophy Case

Alf Engen’s extensive collection of trophies and memorabilia comprise the museum’s centerpiece.
Included in the display is a replica of the infamous Wheaties “Breakfast of Champions” cereal box featuring Alf Engen that resulted in his removal from the 1936 Olympic team.  Alf never received money for appearing in the advertisement, but the Olympic committee decided that it constituted an endorsement which was not allowed at the time.
This and hundreds more unique artifacts and awards attest to the unmatched accomplishments of the man selected as “Utah’s Athlete of the Twentieth Century.”
