The most famous of all the Utah ski jumping hills of the 1930s, 40s and 50s was Ecker Hill, dedicated on March 2, 1930 in honor of ski supporter and official, Peter S. Ecker. Over the span of almost three decades, this giant hill attracted the finest jumpers from around the world.
To date, Alf Engen still holds the unofficial hill record for a 311 foot (94.8 meter) jump during practice in early 1935. Located near the museum theater, our Ecker Hill exhibit utilizes large format imagery and memorabilia to tell the incredible story of this historic place.
