Two hundred years ago, Park City was a rough and tumble mining camp filled with some of the hardest working and hardest living people in the west. The Silver Ore to Olympic Gold exhibit pays homage to those early Parkites while chronicling the shift from boom town to ski town. Historical photographs and information tell part of the story, while a short film about Utah’s ski history completes the tale in our theater.
While you’re in the theater, don’t miss the 2002 Olympic film shorts, which play on a loop throughout the day. Titles include History of Skiing in Utah, USA Bobsled, Avalanche Hunters, USA Skeleton, Overview of the 2002 Games from Cauldron Park, and the moving 2002 Winter Games Closing Ceremony.
