An interactive photo timeline showing 150 years of recreation in the Wasatch Mountains.
How did we go from ski jumping at Dry Canyon (behind the U of U) in 1916 to mountain biking at Deer Valley in the 2000s? That’s the question answered by our newest exhibit titled Wasatch Mountain Recreation: A Visual History.
Users interact with a large format touchscreen showing a photo timeline of 150+ years of milestones and events in the growth and expansion of recreation in the Wasatch Mountains. This new exhibit is located directly adjacent to the Mountain Sport Simulator on the first floor of the Museum.
